As Pastor Rodney continues our series of The Way of the Wise he shares insights on healthy and unhealthy marriages. In a healthy marriage, there is faith, forgiveness and friendship. When both spouses make Christ the priority, it creates trust between a couple because they answer to Jesus first. Forgiveness puts both people on an equal playing field because we are all sinners. We must forgive by repenting and choosing to give our spouse grace. Friendship is the final F and requires effort in good times and in bad. Pastor Rodney also shares The Four Horsemen, which are predictors of divorce as outlined by psychologist John Gottman. They include criticism, contempt, defensiveness and stonewalling.
