We want your kids to love church!

That’s why we are committed to creating a safe and fun environment where your children are taught about the love of Jesus and the stories in the Bible, all in an age-appropriate kids’ service. Our ultimate hope is to see a new generation of kids come to know God at an early age.

Baptisms & Baby Dedications

BABY DEDICATION

Throughout the New Testament, the Bible teaches that baptism is a public expression of worship symbolizing the new life we have when we follow Jesus. In the Bible, we see that Jesus’ parents dedicated Him to the Lord (Luke 2:22–40), and He was later baptized as an adult (Matthew 3:16–17).

We understand that some churches practice “baptism of confirmation” for children. At New Life, we are not baptizing your child – we are making a public commitment between the parents and God on the behalf of the child. The parents promise to raise their child in a Godly home until the child is old enough to make his or her own personal confession of Christ.

With a heart to follow this biblical model, at New Life we provide opportunities for baby dedications. To schedule a baby dedication, fill out the form by following the link below.

WATER BAPTISM

We love that your child is following the calling to make a decision to follow Jesus. Our hope and desires are that every child can have a personal relationship with Jesus!

We advise you, the parents, to wait to pursue baptism for your child until they are asking to be baptized. This is usually a good indication that they are ready and that it will be a memorable spiritual milestone in their life.

Children under the age of seven can and will have a relationship with Jesus; they may, however, not necessarily remember the significance or importance of baptism. So that is why we wait until the child is a little older.

Now, we understand that every child is different, so as you discern if your child is ready, we encourage you to use this guide to help you decide if now is the right time for you child to be baptized at New Life.

Learning

We love investing in your child and teaching them the truths of God’s word that they may put their hope in God and call on His name as their Lord and Savior. We encourage parents to take an active role in discipling their child by providing resources for discussion after each lesson.
